The AUDI Letter Logo Makes Its Debut on Vehicles: Audi and SAIC Open New Skill Trees

Audi has collaborated with SAIC to launch a new concept model, the AUDI E concept, which features the "AUDI" letter logo instead of the traditional four-ring emblem. The AUDI E concept is positioned as a luxury B-segment shooting brake, drawing design inspiration from Audi's legendary models such as the TT, RS6, and R8. The vehicle's exterior is highly futuristic, designed by the Audi team, with chassis tuning completed by a German team. The mass-produced new model is planned to go into production in August 2026 at the Anting No. 2 factory in Shanghai and will be exclusively supplied to the Chinese market.

The AUDI E concept will rely on the Advanced Digitized Platform to create its mass-produced models, expected to cover the B and C segment markets. The car will be equipped with a 0-100km/h acceleration capability of 3.6 seconds, a 700km range, the ability to recharge 300km in less than 10 minutes, and an electrified Quattro all-wheel-drive system. In terms of intelligence, it will leverage the technology of Zero束 Technology, a subsidiary of SAIC, and will be equipped with Audi's Assistance artificial intelligence system.

The collaboration between Audi and SAIC marks Audi's innovative attempt in the Chinese market, aimed at meeting the demand for high-end intelligent electric vehicles. Song Feiming, CEO of the Audi-SAIC project, stated that the products of Audi-SAIC will target not only traditional luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz and BMW but also brands like NIO and Li Auto. The core competitor of the first vehicle with the letter logo is the NIO ET5T, also a shooting brake, with a price range considered to be around 300,000 yuan.

This collaboration demonstrates Audi's emphasis on the Chinese market and its determination to transform into new energy in the Chinese market. Through this approach, Audi hopes to secure a place in the fiercely competitive Chinese market.
