Flight Car Pre-Sales in the Fourth Quarter: Xpeng HT Secures $150 Million in Series B1 Financing

Xpeng HT recently announced that it has raised $150 million in a Series B1 funding round and has also initiated a Series B2 round. The company plans to build the world’s first mass-production flying car factory using a modern assembly line in the Guangzhou Development Zone. This factory will initially be used to produce the flying component of the split-type flying car, named “Land Carrier.” It is understood that “Land Carrier” is scheduled to start pre-sales in the fourth quarter of this year.

The “Land Carrier” by Xpeng HT is a split-type flying car that consists of a land vehicle and a flying vehicle that can automatically separate and combine. The land vehicle can fully enclose the flying vehicle within it and drive on the ground. The flying vehicle is the first manned pure electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft developed for individual users in China, featuring a distributed electric propulsion system and meeting single-point failure safety requirements. It has two driving modes, manual and automatic, and a 270° panoramic two-seater cockpit. The land vehicle, on the other hand, is a 4-5 person intelligent driving cockpit equipped with a range extender electric drive system, capable of recharging the flying vehicle multiple times, and is known as the land “mothership.” The entire vehicle uses a three-axis, six-wheel design, achieving 6×6 all-wheel drive and rear-wheel steering, with good carrying capacity and off-road capabilities.

Furthermore, Xpeng HT is accelerating the layout of its national flying car application network and has successfully signed nearly 60 flying camps, including general aviation airports, scenic areas, cultural and tourism towns, and suburban areas, further expanding the safe and compliant flying space.
